Fiber & Flame Trunk Show

Fiber and Flame is a glass knitting tool and notion maker comprised of husband and wife Devin and Brittany. When not tending to their small flock of Finn sheep, Devin makes glass stitch markers, cable needles, jewelry and more. Everything is made on a propane/oxygen fueled torch out of borosilicate glass. After forming the shape, everything takes a trip through the kiln to anneal and relieve stress and ensure durability.

Ex Libris is a Latin phrase found on bookplates that translates to "From the library." Dyer Rita Johnson, now based in Pittsburgh but with knitting origins rooted in Portland, started Ex Libris Fibers to create dark & moody colors inspired by books, libraries, and under-shared stories. She'll be in the shop with bookish colors new and old, and exclusive book and yarn pairings!

Bad Dog Studio is run by sister-brother duo Rachel and Dan. Originally from New Gloucester, Maine the two use a combination of traditional Shaker techniques and modern sensibilities in their beautiful, functional artwork. Rachel creates the ceramics and Dan the wooden wares. They are inspired by their very good, very bad dogs.

In 2022, Vanessa and her husband, Dustin, wanted to create a space for them to be creative together, and so ōSHən Fibres and Howlin Bear Fibers were born. Vanessa draws inspiration from her deep love for the ocean and nature, while Dustin draws inspiration from his musical background. All of their hand-dyed yarn is created with intention in Astoria, Oregon.

Wendy Hanson of Shaggy Bear Farms runs a “farm to needle” business in Scio, Oregon, where she raises her animals and hand-dyes her yarn. She cares for more than 400 sheep, goats, rabbits and llamas, many of whom are rescue animals. Wendy always fills our classroom with an amazing variety of yarns and spinning fiber – be sure to stop by and listen to Wendy’s tales of life on the farm!

Peace Fleece has brought all production of their amazing yarn to the US in support of Navajo Nation ranchers. The company continues to produce wool with meaning since its inception in 1985. We love this amazing Rambouillet yarn in its depth of character and color!
