Each year we prepare for the Rose City Yarn Crawl with two mystery alongs - one knit and one crochet. This year, pre-sales start and pre-clue information is released October 16, 2024. The mysteries begin in January 15, 2025 and wrap up in time for you to wear your finished garment on the Crawl! Pre-sales begin Wednesday October 16th, 2024. You can purchase your pre-clue on Ravelry for the Mystery Knit Along (KAL) and the Mystery Crochet Along (CAL).

Special Early Bird Clue! Purchase your patterns between October 16th and 23rd, 2024, and in addition to your preclude, you will also receive an early bird clue allowing you to get a jump on making your Mystery Alongs!

Jamie Lomax Knit Along Designer:

We are excited to announce our Designer for the 2025 Mystery Knit Along!

My name is Jamie Lomax (she/her), and I am dedicated to helping knitters learn how to harness their creativity, modify patterns, and knit outside the box. I love all things colorwork and consider it to be like “doodling with yarn.” I am the owner and creative designer of Pacific Knit Co. My designs focus on modern, modular colorwork patterns that empower makers to design and knit exactly what they want within an easy to follow structure.

Things to know about me:

•Born in Oregon, now live in Seattle

•Originally a graphic & interior designer

•Knitting since 2020 (Covid hobby)

•Took my small business full time in 2024

•Family -my husband, two kiddos, and fluffy corgi

Mikah Rae Crochet Along Designer:

We are also thrilled to announce our Designer for the 2025 Mystery Crochet Along!

Mikah Rae (she/they) is a fiber artist from Southeast Portland who has been crocheting since 2013 and Tunisian crocheting since 2018. She self-published her first design in 2021, and loves encouraging people to expand their skills. Their cat Luna personally donates hair to each of Mikah’s projects. All in Harmony Wrap

2024’s theme, Pacific Northwest Flora & Fauna, is encompassed in the exquisite, All in Harmony Wrap, designed by the talented crochet designer, Tessa Herra.

The wrap encompasses two contrasting colors in a dreamy dance of stitches influenced by Flora’s new growth and Fauna’s beauty experienced in the PNW.

Chloris

Inspired by 2023’s theme, Pacific Northwest Flora & Fauna, designer Makenzie Alvarez created a beautiful shawl titled Chloris. Chloris in Greek mythology is the goddess of spring, flowers and new growth.

Makenzie’s shawl uses two contrasting colors which dance together through the creation of cables, ribbing and beads to create a show stopping piece of art.

2023’s theme, Magic, is encompassed in the exquisite shawl, Hekataion, designed by the talented crochet designer, Brittany Garber. The shawl uses two contrasting color ways to create a captivating and spellbinding creation that leaves crafters with a feeling of enchantment.

An Adventure in the Witch's Castle

Inspired by 2023’s theme, Magic, designer Seth Richardson created a stunning scarf using two colors. The scarf uses a multitude of diverse stitches in addition to two of your preferred hues to create an admirable garment that appeals to a variety of knitters.

Metamorphosis

Bloom is what designer Sarah LarRieu successfully incased in this gorgeous 2021 design. This shawl uses two contrasting yarns to create a wonderful crochet dance of stitches and colors which beautifully melts together as it grows during it’s creation.

Goose Hollow

Inspired by 2022’s theme Bloom, designer Shellie Anderson created this stunning design using the interplay of two colors. You will explore a wide variety of techniques that combine and blend two yarns to create different effects. Both colors are used equally throughout the shawl.
