2021 MCAL

Description

The 2021 Mystery Knit and Crochet Alongs are now underway! Our theme this year is “Gratitude” and we are so thankful you are here, supporting the 2021 Rose City Yarn Crawl.

With your pattern purchase on Ravelry you’ll receive a pre-clue description of materials needed and schedule of clues, as well as a yarn suggestion list from the shops participating in this year’s Rose City Yarn Crawl. Clue #1 should have arrived in your Ravelry library the afternoon of Wednesday, January 20, 2021. A new clue will follow each Wednesday afternoon thereafter – five clues in total.

Mystery Along Schedule
Clue 1 – January 20, 2021
Clue 2 – January 27, 2021
Clue 3 – February 3, 2021
Clue 4 – February 10, 2021
Clue 5 – February 17, 2021

After the last clues are released on February 17, you’ll have two weeks to finish up in plenty of time to wear your finished project while you crawl! Around mid-March, each design will be released in its entirety as a regular, non-mystery pattern. See our Ravelry Help page for tips on using Ravelry.

2021 Mystery Crochet Along Designer – Kathryn Hendrix

Kathryn Hendrix first learned to knit at a young age, under the direction of her very skilled grandmother. Crochet came soon after, and spinning some time after that – but she’s pretty sure she’ll stop just short of raising sheep and alpacas. Her crafting career so far has yeilded a truly outrageous hat collection, and a healthy belief in the various fiber-related curses.

Most days, you can find her at work slingin’ yarn at one of Portland’s fabulous LYS’s. In her spare time, Kathryn loves to light candles, stay hydrated, watch horror films, and go on treasure hunting at her favorite thrift spots.
